Red, White and Blue OWH Bloghop

Welcome to the Operation Write Home Bloghop and thank you for stopping by to see my red, white and blue patriotic cards!  I couldn't decide what to make this year and ended up with three cards to share.

This AnyHero card uses a variation of the starburst technique. You can get more details and the tutorial here.

This Thank You card is quick and easy to make.  This is one of my go-to designs when I need a card in a hurry.

This Missing You Poppies card gave me a chance to repeat the poppy theme I did last year.  You can find out more about why I was inspired to make this card and the tutorial here.

Which of these three cards is your favorite?

Thank you again for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of the OWH Memorial Day Bloghop!

Creatively yours,

Great cards, love all of them! Thanks for sharing the tutorials!

Kathy S said...

Hard to say which I prefer. Poppies are one of my favorites, but I really like the design of card two using the washi (which I have way too much of). Then again, I also like the sunburst. See - can't make up my mind. Thanks for the inspiration!

Ann said...

They are all beautiful, but the starburst with the border is fabulous!

Diane said...

I love all of the cards but you really rocked the sunburst card. Great design and great use of the papers.

All very lovely cards but my favorite is the sunburst as it is big, bold and colorful.

Rose Hackman said...

Love all three, but if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the poppy one. I like how you did the sentiment on the small tags...clearly visible but not detracting from the beautiful poppies.

Esther E. said...

I picked the Thank You card as my favorite. Now I have new ideas about how to use washi tape. Thanks.

Sunshine HoneyBee said...

Like the variety with the patchwork look, the use of the washi tape & doily. Happy Memorial Day!

Wow, they're all wonderful! I'm going to have to try the sunburst, the washi is lovely, but I'm slapping my forehead for not using my poppy stamp! My husband even bought a poppy from a vet yesterday at the grocery store & I still didn't think of it! Next year. . .

The poppy card is my favorite. This is a personal preference but I'm not crazy about washi tape. When I use it, it looks slapped on. The sunburst is great too. I'm going to watch the tut now.

Sharon - I don't think I can pick a fav! Love them all. The poppy is so special because of the story behind the poppy for veterans and the starburst card is so bold but I think the middle card is the most subtle and likely edges out the other 2 by about 1/100000 a point! Thanks for sharing!
