This Believe in the Miracle card is the first in a series of quick and easy Christmas cards. If you have a lot of Christmas cards to send, this series of quick and easy cards is for you! I first made this card for a demonstrator swap. It has been repeated many times since then by my demonstrator friends.
You can use a variety of stamps and it use very little designer series paper. Instead of a strip of paper that goes across the card, I used two 2 x 2 squares. The doily and sentiment hide the gap.

I designed this card because I love the image of Santa and his reindeer in Stampin' Up!'s Cozy Christmas stamp set. The masking technique was perfect for showing them against a night sky. Do you remember how hard it was to go to sleep as a child on Christmas Eve? Every child knows that if you don't go to sleep, then Santa won't come to your house. As corny as it sounds, I still enjoy seeing the "radar image" of Santa and his reindeer approaching your area during the late news.

This quick and easy card uses Stampin' Up's! hostess stamp set, A Whole Lot of Lovely. I tweaked the pattern from this card.
Notice how the flower and sentiment cover a lot of the card? That gave me the
opportunity to be frugal with my Bohemian Designer Series Paper and
burlap ribbon. I ended up making 26 of these cards and still haven't
used all of the two 12x12 sheets in this pattern that come in the
package. And I had just enough ribbon left on a partially used roll to
finish these cards.
This video shows you the hidden techniques I used to make the paper and
ribbon last. You'll also see why Stampin' Up!'s Tear and Tape adhesive
is my top choice for sticking down the burlap ribbon. While I love the
added texture, you will want to use the right adhesive with this
ribbon.

This quick and easy card using Stampin' Up!'s Garden in Bloom stamp set was inspired by a card that I got in our monthly demonstrator swap. After making my first card, I realized that I could put all of the outline stamps on one block. This allowed me to stamp everything at one time which helped things go much faster. I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for the outline images.
Notice
how it looks like each image is colored in? Garden in Bloom is a
two-step stamp set. After you stamp the outline, there is a second
coordinating stamp to fill in the color. Talk about easy peasy.

stamp club really liked stamping all of the outline images at the same
time. And they couldn't believe how easy it was add the color with the
two-step stamping. The photopolymer stamps make it quick and easy to
line up the stamps.

When I first tried the Bokeh technique for stamping, there were 2 things that I wanted to "fix". This tutorial shows what I did to "cheng up" the original technique to decrease the drying time and to make sure the sentiments popped against the bokeh background. "Cheng it up" is a term that one of my crafting friends came up with years ago. Because I typically like tweaking techniques and projects, she called it "chenging it up". Sad, but true. I find it difficult to make an exact copy of anything. Inspiration (or lack of ability) usually means I end up with a slightly different version of any crafting project or technique that I try. Do you find that happens to you too?
The first thing I wanted to "fix" when trying the bokeh technique with paper was getting things to dry faster. When you use ink, water and watercolor paper, you have a long drying time. Especially when humidity is high as it has been in Fort Worth this spring. The drying time meant that a quick and easy card could take over an hour to make because of waiting for the paper to dry. While I could use Stampin' Up!'s heat tool to speed things up, I wanted to teach this technique to my stamp club. The thought of 8 people waiting to use a heat tool inspired me to come up with something else.
Secondly, when you use black ink or embossing powder in the earlier steps for this technique, it ends up with a grayish color in the areas where you add the white craft ink. I wanted my sentiments to pop against the background and felt like the black/grey colors didn't work. I found two ways to fix the problem.
With this card, I used the die cut "thanks" from Stampin' Up!'s Hello You Thinlits (137363 $25.00).
I also found that if you use a dark background, you can use white embossing powder to make your sentiment stand out. The white craft ink didn't show up on the white embossed image. You will want to be careful to keep the background around the sentiment mostly dark colors.
Bokeh is quick and easy if you don't count the drying time. My stamp club loved the technique. If you are making several cards at once, do step 1 on each card, then step 2, etc. It goes quickly since each card will be dry by the time you get back to it.

I made these quick and easy Cross cards using Stampin' Up!'s Modern Label Punch for two friends who are each going through challenging times. I was looking for a card design that would fit their circumstances and was inspired by these cards made by Brenda Quintana. For those of you who know me, it isn't a surprise that I decided to "cheng it up" a bit. Actually, I had lost the link and was going off of memory. Well, it turns out that my memory wasn't that great. However, the cards fit each person perfectly and I ended up figuring out my own quick and easy way to punch out the cross. This design also fits many other occasions including Easter.

When I plan to use any Stampin' Up! designer series paper, this is the typical process that I follow. Scallop Treat Holder 2 is easier to make than it looks and can be embellished to fit many different occasions. Your friends will loving getting the Easter version decorated with this punch art bunny. I've made this treat holder at several different workshops. The initial reaction I get from my friends when I show them what we are going to make is that this project is going to be difficult. After they make it, they want to make more because it is so quick and easy.
This is the original scallop treat holder that I made. I tweaked the design so it could be our Make and Take project at the Scrapbook Expo in Grapevine, TX earlier this year. We wanted the project to be quick and easy for our visitors. Because we were going to prep 200 of these treat holders, it also needed to be quick and easy for my friend, Christi, and I!
This was our Make and Take at Scrapbook Expo. Because Stampin' Up!'s designer series paper has designs on both sides, that let us skip the stamped liner from the first version. I also make the treat holder 1/4" narrower so I could get 6 projects from one 12 x 12 sheet. An unexpected plus was that the straight edges made it much easier to line up the paper on the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.

I tried various oval punches and they were too big for this treat holder. Turned out that the Flower Medallion punch was perfect for making the ears for this Easter Bunny. I'm been wanting a butterfly die, but dreaded the tedious work with such an intricate design. Then one of my Stampin' Up! friends shared a tip for using dryer sheets to make this work easy peasy. I liked the idea so much that I made a quick In-A-Minute video tutorial. It will take only a minute (okay, really less than 2 minutes) to see 2 tips for making die cutting with thinlits a breeze.
This picture tutorial has all of the details too. This tip speeds things up so much I plan to use the butterfly die on a swap card. I wouldn't be able to do that without using dryer sheets. Try out the dryer sheet tip and let me know what you think.
p.s. I don't use dryer sheets for my regular laundry. Imagine my neighbor's surprise when I asked if she had some dryer sheets I could have. LOL. Needless to say, I've bought my own now and they are in my craft area, not my laundry room. I do recommend you invest in the unscented dryer sheets.

I made this card for a recent Stampin' Up! demonstrator swap. The colors are So Saffron, Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla. I first stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso. Then I stamped it again with Mossy Meadow and cut out the banner. The Just for You banner is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This Scalloped Treat Holder made with Stampin' Up!'s Scallop Circle Framelit and the Painted Petals stamp set is perfect for holding a Ghiradelli chocolate treat. When I went to Stampin' Up!'s new Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs kickoff in Plano in December, this was the stamp set that I won as a door prize. So for our demonstrator Christmas party, I decided to use this stamp set to make my little stocking stuffer gift for my friends.
I adapted this treat holder from Out to Impress to fit Stampin' Up!'s Scallop Circle Framelit. It is pretty quick and easy using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I love how the Painted Petals stamp set make it look like you shaded or double stamped the flowers and leaves. Because of how the stamp is made, you only need to stamp once! The ink is darker in some places to give the illusion of a painted petal.

To make the Christmas Tree Pizza Box, cut a piece of cardstock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. Score on the long side at 1, 3 3/4, 4 3/4 and 7 1/2. Score on the short side at 1 and 4 1/2. Fold on the dotted lines and cut on the solid lines. I like this size because it only uses half a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. You don't end up with any scraps and a gift card fits in the box with extra room for a little treat.
For the Pumpkin Box, cut a sheet of cardstock to 9 1/2 x 5 1/4. Score on the long side at 1, 4 1/4, 5 1/4 and 8 1/2. On the short side, score at 1 and 4 1/4.
For the Rose Box, cut a sheet of cardstock to 11 x 6. Score on the long side at 1, 5, 6 and 10. Score on the short side at 1 and 5.
Enjoy making these boxes and decorating them to your heart's desire. Who will be the lucky person to get your first pizza box project?

The Wonderous Wreath stamp set and coordinating framelits have been one of the most versatile bundles in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday catalog. Stampin' Up!'s Wonderous Wreath stamp set and coordinating framelits will help you create relatively quick and easy Christmas cards that everyone will ooh and aah about when they get one from you. I made 12 of them for our September Stampin' Up! demonstrator swap. Thank goodness the cards were quick and easy to make because I was making them the day before our swap. LOL.
For this Christmas garland, you'll make the wreath and then cut it into 3 pieces. This tutorial will show you how I cut the wreath apart. I also share a tip on how to make die cutting the Noel a little easier. When you have a detailed framelit like the Noel, it can sometimes be a little tricky to remove the paper from the framelit. Watch how adding one common household item can make it faster to remove the paper after running it through the Big Shot.
This video show you how to make the wreath using the Wonderous Wreath stamp set and coordinating framelits. When we made this card in stamp club, everyone comments on how the wreath was much easier to do than it looks.
And finally, this is how I made the bows for the garland. There is also a framelit for a bow in the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies package (135851 $24.95) that you can use. Stampin' Up!'s Gratitude for Days Simply Created Kit is designed to make a gratitude banner and can be used to make other projects including this quick and easy pocket card. This was the favorite project from my August stamp club workshop.
It was easy to stamp the pumpkin and fall leaves on the card from the stamp set since they are photopolymer. This video shows how easy it is to layer the stamps using Tangerine Tango for the pumpkin and Lost lagoon for the acorns and leaves.
Have you ever tried to tie a small bow and noticed that you end up with a lot of trim that is wasted? My sister showed me how to use the least amount of ribbon or trim when tying small leaves. This video shows a quick and easy way to tie these small bows.
