Easter Punch Art Cross

I was trying to figure out a way to make a punch art cross when I saw a post on Pinterest about how to use the Modern Label and Blossom Punches together.  You can see the original post on my Pinterest board, From This to That.  That gave me the idea for making a cross using the same 2 punches.

Notice how white the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper looks?  That's because it is covered with the Sizzix multipurpose adhesive.  That made it quick and easy to add the glitter in the first card in this post. 

This is another version of the card that I made for a demonstrator swap with my downline.

Easter Punch Art Chick

This is a fun 3 x 3 Easter card.  It takes two different punches to make this little chick.  Can you guess which ones?  The answer is at the end of this post.

I made the coordinating envelope with the new diagonal scoring plate.  It was easy to follow the instructions that come in the package.

I CASED the chick from this card made by Janet Holmes for our demonstrator group's swap in February.

NEW Simply Scored Diagonal Scoring Plate

Stampin' Up! has added a new accessory to the Simply Scored.  There is now a diagonal plate so you can make projects like envelopes, boxes and more quickly and easily.

The new Simply Scored Diagonal Plate

• Sits on top of the Simply Scored base
• Held securely in place by rubber pads on back of the plate
• Has etched grooves every 1/8"
• Can score any size card stock up to 12" x 12"
• Includes instructions for creating common envelope sizes

Storing your Framelits

Framelits are some of my favorite new products in the Occasions mini catalog.  There are currently two Collections to choose from: Hearts and Labels.  Each set comes with 6 thin, wafer-like dies.  With this new type of die, you can see where you are placing your design.  Stampin' Up! has also introduced several new stamp sets that coordinate with the new Framelits.  The card above was made using Apothecary Art (125527) and the Labels Collection Framelits (125598). 

When you get your Framelits, they come in a plastic envelope.  I found that I prefer using Stampin' Up!'s clear-mount stamp case to store the Framelits.  While many different Stampin' Up! demonstrators have shown this idea, the inspiration for this project came from Janet Wakeland.

I took two strips of magnet sheet and adhered them to a Stampin' Up! clear storage case.  The strips hold the Framelit dies in place.  I then made the cover in My Digital Studio and added it to the storage case.  On the back of the case, I put the instruction sheet that comes with the Framelits. 

If I were to do this again, I would use thinner strips of the magnet sheet, maybe 3 inches wide instead of the 4 inches I used in the case in the photo.

Twitterpated Product Suite

 

One of the things I enjoy the most about Stampin' Up! is how they coordinate their products into suites.  I'd like to share some projects that use the Twitterpated Product Suite.

I loved this card that was on display at Stampin'  Up!'s Leadership Conference.  This card uses the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (125406), the Adorning Accents Edgelit Die (125595) to make that great scalloped edge and the Apothecary Art stamp set (125527).  

Here is peek at all of the papers in the Twitterpated set.  The paper is 12 x 12 and double-sided.

This card is made with the Elegant Bird Bigz Die (125593), the Twitterpated paper, the Rue Des Fleurs stamp set (125487) and our Basic Pearls (119247). 

For my January stamp clubs, one of our projects was this mini treat bucket.  It uses one of my new favorites, pleated satin ribbon.  Here are all the colors that it comes in.

Happy Valentine's Day

I'd like to share this Valentine card that my friend, Terry Stanford, made using the Take It To Heart stamp set and the Hearts Collection Framelits.  Terry has a knack for coloring, as you can see.  I loved how she used an embossing folder to texture the background along with our sticky back Basic Pearls.  What a gorgeous card, Terry.  Thank you for letting me share it on my blog.

This is the cover for the book I made for all of my downline who went to Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference in January in San Antonio.  Because it was a digital design, I was able to customize the cover with each person's name before printing it out.  When people saw the book, they asked if I had put it together after arriving in San Antonio because of the pictures.  Thanks to the internet, I had downloaded the jpg's and completed the books before leaving for leadership.  The hotel that you can see on the cover is the Hilton Palacio Del Rio.  That is the hotel where we stayed.   I loved it.  When you go out the front door, the convention center was right across the street.  When you go out the back door, you are on the River Walk!
